US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Surpass Satoshi Nakamoto’s Holdings

A significant milestone has been reached in the Bitcoin ETF market: US-based spot Bitcoin ETFs now hold more Bitcoin than is estimated to be owned by Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. With a combined holding of over 1.1 million BTC, these ETFs, led by BlackRock’s IBIT, have seen substantial inflows, exceeding $33 billion since their launch.

While Satoshi Nakamoto remains the largest individual holder with an estimated 1.1 million BTC, other entities like MicroStrategy and the US government also hold significant amounts.

The rapid growth of the ETF market has sparked renewed speculation about Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity. Despite various claims and controversies, the true identity of Bitcoin’s creator remains elusive.
