The TON blockchain, initially developed by the messaging app Telegram, is gearing up for a major push into the U.S. market.

At The Gateway event in Dubai today, TON announced exciting new updates to its Telegram-integrated crypto wallet, TON Space, enhancing user accessibility and functionality.

Global, 17th September 2024 – Bitget, the leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has released an extensive report outlining the current state and development traction of the TON ecosystem, while highlighting its existing shortcomings and potential future threats. The report by Bitget starts by mentioning TON’s 900 million active user base, mostly from the CIS countries, particularly Russia and Ukraine, trailed by India, Brazil and the US. The network is host to over 1,159 projects, including cross-chain bridges, DeFi, launchpads, and other types of services.

The TON Foundation has officially launched Adsgram, a new third-party platform that allows developers to monetize their Telegram mini-apps through advertising.

Toncoin (TON) is the lifeblood of The Open Network (TON), a layer-1 blockchain designed for high transaction speeds and mass adoption. Originally conceived by the team behind Telegram, TON is now overseen by the TON Foundation, a non-profit organization.
