The latest Strive bitcoin purchase landed like a heavy vault door: the company added 6,182 BTC for roughly $511.4 million between Oct. 17 and Oct. 23, pushing its corporate treasury to 43,000 BTC and making Strive (Nasdaq: ASST) the fourth-largest public-company holder of bitcoin.
Inside the Strive bitcoin purchase push
- 6,182 BTC acquired in a single weekly window, at an average of roughly $82,700 per coin.
- Total treasury: 43,000 BTC — within striking distance of the corporate holders stacked above it, including Metaplanet and Twenty One.
- Strive also filed an at-the-market program for up to $1 billion of SATS preferred stock, a war chest that suggests the buying is not finished.
Timing matters: the purchases settled before Monday’s softer tape, with bitcoin changing hands near $80,300 in early U.S. trading and about 4.3% lower over the past month. In other words, Strive ran its accumulation into the dip — then told the market it keeps a loaded magazine nearby.
The buy is also a sequel: Strive’s previous 3,311-BTC acquisition, its largest since January, made waves earlier this month.
Corporate treasuries were supposed to be the boring end of bitcoin adoption. With a $1 billion shelf program and four-digit coin adds, Strive is treating boring like a starting line.
