Now operating under the handle @PlayWithShib on X, the rebranded entity is poised to deepen its involvement in the gaming industry by developing additional titles for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, praised the rebranding, calling it an "epic move" and expressing excitement about the future of Shiba Inu Games. The rebranding follows Shiba Eternity's initial launch in October 2022, which saw the mobile game gain brief traction before entering a hiatus. The account recently resurfaced to unveil a closed beta version of the game, marking its first release on the Shibarium network.
In its expanded role, Shiba Inu Games introduced “Agent Shiboshi,” a new side-scrolling shooter game where players control Shiboshi, a Shiba Inu secret agent battling the “Shadowcats.” The game features an in-game currency system, allowing players to earn funds by defeating enemies and upgrading their weapons and gear. Lucie, Shiba Inu's marketing lead, revealed that “Agent Shiboshi” will debut on web2 platforms with plans for a web3 version on Shibarium.
Additionally, Shiba Inu Games is set to release “Shiboshi Rush,” another hyper-casual game designed to be straightforward and accessible. This move reflects Shiba Inu's broader strategy to diversify and enrich its gaming offerings within the Shib ecosystem.
