BitMine Expands Its Ethereum Treasury to $7.7 Billion

BitMine Immersion Tech has solidified its position as the largest corporate holder of Ethereum (ETH) with a recent acquisition of 14,665 ETH worth $64.7 million. The purchase was executed through Galaxy Digital and brings the company’s total ETH holdings to over 1.75 million, valued at approximately $7.7 billion. This puts BitMine well on its way to its stated goal of acquiring 5% of Ethereum’s total supply.

This latest acquisition is part of a broader trend of significant growth in corporate Ethereum treasuries, driven by rising institutional interest. Another prominent firm, SharpLink Gaming, recently announced a major ETH purchase, increasing its holdings to 837,230 ETH.

The article notes that this growth in corporate treasuries is a key factor in Ethereum’s recent price outperformance compared to other digital assets. While Bitcoin has seen a slight dip in price, ETH has risen by nearly 20% in the last 30 days. As of the article’s publication, Ethereum was trading at $4,408.
