Base Network Achieves 21.7K Contract Deployers, a Record High

The number of contract deployers on the Base network just reached an all-time high. On his Wu Blockchain page, Chinese crypto reporter Colin Wu posted an X post that included details about Base’s 21,700 contract deployers that were marked on April 20 at a cost of $164.618K.

Token Terminal recently discussed Jesse Pollak, the head of Base protocol, and his earlier public remarks that alluded to Base’s goal of one million developers in an X post. Pollak reposted the discussion, even though Token Terminal repeated his remarks about “one million developers,” “one billion users,” and “onchain.” Token Terminal went on to say that the Base network now counts 22,000 developers developing apps every day, only ten months after its launch.

Token Terminal’s contract deployers’ chart indicates a significant increase in the number over the last week, particularly on April 20, which set a historical high. The term “contract deployers” is used to refer to “the number of EOAs for transactions that initiate smart contract creation.”

Prior to this, Jesse Pollak, the protocol head of Base, made a public statement before the Ethereum Layer 2 network’s introduction stating that the ultimate goal of Base is to get 1 billion users into the economy. His remarks are as follows:

Making onchain the next big internet platform and bringing one billion people into the cryptoeconomy is our mission with Base. Base will act as both a home for Coinbase’s onchain products and an open environment where anybody may create in order to achieve this goal.

Token Terminal claims that there is a positive pattern among the network’s active daily users as well. The number of daily active users has increased by almost 45% to 352.70K, while the number of monthly active users has increased by 63.1% to 3.8 million.
