Polygon’s Q3 2025 Performance Soars: $1.82 Billion in Payments and RWA Dominance

Polygon has reported exceptional performance in Q3 2025, driven by significant growth in its payments applications and accelerated activity in the Real-World Asset (RWA) sector.

Key Performance Highlights

  • Payments Volume Surge: Polygon’s Proof-of-Stake (PoS) payments app transfer volume hit $1.82 billion in Q3 2025, marking a 49% quarter-over-quarter increase.
    • Top Contributors: The surge was led by Paxos ($319.4M, up 443.2%), Avenia ($285.5M), and Revolut ($243.4M), demonstrating rising demand for Polygon’s infrastructure from major players.
  • RWA Market Leadership: Polygon has accelerated its position in the RWA space, with over $1.1 billion issued on-chain.
    • The platform commands a 90% market share in tokenized corporate bonds and hosts over 273 assets and 3,000 holders.
    • RWA Breakdown: Commodities lead the RWA categories with $485 million, followed by corporate bonds ($238M) and government bonds ($122M).
  • Prediction Market Dominance: Polygon also leads the blockchain-based prediction market sector, holding an impressive 88% of the total value locked (TVL), amounting to $232.07 million.

Network Strategy and Outlook

Polygon’s strong multi-sector expansion is attributed to its advanced architecture and scaling solutions, including zkEVM and AggLayer. These technologies are designed to secure multiple chains under a unified liquidity framework, which strengthens the ecosystem’s network effect.

While POL, the native token, showed short-term weakness, trading down 9.02% weekly at $0.1866, the underlying network fundamentals remain strong as Polygon solidifies its position as a top-tier platform for payments, tokenized assets, and financial services, scaling beyond Ethereum to support the broader “Internet of Value.”
