Donald Trump’s media company is expanding its involvement in the crypto space by strengthening its relationship with the Cronos (CRO) network.
Truth Social and its affiliated platform, Truth+, have announced that users can now convert their “gems”—engagement rewards earned on the platforms—directly into CRO tokens. This new feature will be available to Patriot Pack subscribers, who can also redeem their gems for other rewards.
This news dispels earlier speculation that Truth Social might create its own cryptocurrency. Instead, the company is leveraging the existing infrastructure of Crypto.com to manage these conversions. The announcement has had a positive impact on the price of CRO, which saw a sharp increase following the news. Traders see this integration as a major step for CRO, given the large user base of Truth Social.
This partnership is part of a broader strategy by Trump Media Group. The company previously announced its intention to build a digital asset treasury with a goal of acquiring over $6.4 billion in CRO, highlighting its long-term commitment to the Cronos ecosystem.
