Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has finalized a $6.42 billion acquisition deal with Crypto.com, acquiring 684.4 million Cronos (CRO) tokens. This transaction was completed through a 50% stock and 50% cash exchange.
This significant deal allows TMTG to acquire approximately 2% of CRO’s circulating supply, with plans to potentially increase this to 19% through a subsidiary. The acquired tokens will be held in Crypto.com’s institutional-grade custody and will be used for staking to generate additional revenue for TMTG.
