Binance Changes Funding Rate Frequency for MYXUSDT and OMNIUSDT

Binance announced that it will increase the funding rate settlement frequency for the MYXUSDT and OMNIUSDT perpetual contracts to every four hours, effective August 11, 2025, at 20:00 (UTC+8). This change marks a return to a more frequent settlement schedule, with funding now occurring at 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, and other four-hour intervals daily (UTC+8).

This adjustment is part of Binance’s efforts to improve market dynamics and ensure more consistent funding rate transfers. While the maximum funding rate will stay at +2.00%/-2.00%, traders should be aware that the more frequent settlements could impact their position costs and cash flow.

The announcement has received a mixed response from the trading community. Some traders see the change as an opportunity for more frequent arbitrage, while others are concerned about potential fluctuations in their realized profit and loss (PnL). The higher frequency could also influence trader behavior and market stability for these specific contracts.
