Tether Mints Another Billion USDT, Expanding Supply to $135.78 Billion

Tether, a leading stablecoin issuer, has once again expanded its USDT supply by minting an additional 1 billion USDT tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. This latest minting brings the total supply of USDT to a substantial $135.78 billion.

The minting activity, which took place at Tether’s treasury, aims to inject fresh liquidity into the market. Notably, since November 6th, Tether has minted a significant 17 billion USDT across both Ethereum and Tron networks.

As a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, USDT plays a crucial role in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, facilitating various financial transactions and providing a stable store of value. By increasing its supply, Tether is positioning itself to meet the growing demand for stablecoins and further solidify its dominance in the market.
