Ubisoft has partnered with Ethereum Name Service (ENS) to introduce blockchain-based identities into the "Captain Laserhawk" universe. This collaboration equips players with unique, personalized identities within the game.

ENS Integration for Seamless In-Game Identities

Players will receive distinct Niji Warrior ID Cards, each linked to an ENS subname under "edenonline.eth." These subnames connect in-game characters to players' Ethereum addresses, establishing a seamless digital identity. This integration aims to enhance player engagement and immersion by providing consistent and recognizable identities across the "Captain Laserhawk" universe."

Integrating ENS in our projects has always been obvious, and we're proud to propose an original approach to decentralized identity," stated Louis Garoche, Ubisoft Blockchain Technical Lead."

The unveiling of FIFA Rivals, a mobile NFT-based football game by Mythical Games and FIFA, marks another significant step in bringing blockchain gaming to the sports domain.

These developments underscore the increasing prominence of blockchain within the gaming industry, fueled by collaborative efforts between technology leaders and game developers.
