Experts are raising concerns as Worldcoin, operated by Tools for Humanity, expands its services into Mexico. On October 5, local media outlets such as Diario de Puebla reported that Worldcoin has launched new World ID services and facilities in Puebla, a major city in east-central Mexico.

In a significant development for the blockchain community, Solana has announced its integration with World ID, expanding the verification system’s reach beyond its previous sole platform, Ethereum.

Worldcoin, a prominent player in the digital identity and cryptocurrency space, has made significant strides with the launch of its World ID verification system in Austria on July 31, 2024.

In a move that could significantly enhance cross-chain identity verification, Wormhole, the popular cross-chain interoperability protocol, has been awarded a grant by the Worldcoin Foundation to integrate World ID onto the Solana blockchain.
