Ronin, a blockchain initially developed for the game Axie Infinity, is planning to migrate from being a standalone Layer-1 blockchain to an Ethereum Layer-2 network.

In May, the Ronin network saw a significant uptick in users, surpassing 3 million monthly and daily active wallets, indicating a resurgence in the gaming industry. Known for supporting Axie Infinity and related mini-games, as well as the Mavis NFT marketplace, Ronin's activity across approximately 15 leading apps has contributed to its success.

With the official launch of "Ragnarok: Monster World," Web3 game-focused blockchain Ronin and Gravity have formed a strategic relationship that brings the world of Ragnarok Online into the rapidly expanding realm of blockchain gaming. With Pixels' successful migration, this partnership represents the first time a Web2 game IP has moved onto the Ronin network.
