Popular mobile browser Opera Mini is expanding its cryptocurrency offerings. Their built-in crypto wallet, MiniPay, now supports the two leading stablecoins: Tether (USDT) and Circle (USDC). This integration comes alongside a new feature called "Pockets," allowing users to easily swap between these stablecoins with a single click.

Previously, MiniPay focused on the Celo dollar (cUSD). By adding USDT and USDC, MiniPay captures over 85% of the stablecoin market. This caters to a wider audience and potentially opens doors for new use cases within the MiniPay ecosystem.

The "Pockets" feature simplifies stablecoin swapping. Users can simply drag and drop between their USDT, USDC, and cUSD holdings for quick exchanges. According to Opera, these swaps incur "sub-cent fees" and have no hidden costs.

This move highlights Opera's commitment to making cryptocurrency more accessible. By offering popular stablecoins and a user-friendly swapping mechanism, MiniPay strives to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the world of digital assets.
