On June 3, OKX, a prominent global cryptocurrency exchange, made its official debut in the Netherlands, unveiling a dedicated trading platform and a Web3 wallet tailored for the local market.

The launch encompasses a centralized crypto exchange (CEX) and the introduction of the OKX Wallet, offering Dutch users access to approximately 150 cryptocurrencies. The platform facilitates trading with the euro across a minimum of 60 trading pairs.

To streamline the process for Dutch customers, OKX has integrated with the local payment system, iDeal, enabling smooth deposits and withdrawals in euros. Moreover, users can utilize the European payment system, Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), for OKX transactions, with both deposits and withdrawals supported.

Additionally, OKX has made euro deposits into user accounts free of charge, enhancing accessibility and convenience for its Dutch clientele.

Officially, OKX provides Web3 wallet, staking, spot trading, and more

The Netherlands' citizens have access to spot cryptocurrency trading, staking, and other services through the OKX CEX. According to the statement, customers can "hold full custody of their own crypto" with the OKX Wallet, another OKX product.

According to OKX Europe general manager Erald Ghoos, "the launch of our centralized exchange and OKX Wallet in the Netherlands is a significant milestone in our long-term commitment to the country." He claimed that OKX has assembled a knowledgeable local staff and thoughtfully crafted regional goods while taking customer input into consideration.

Following the exchange's rebranding from Okcoin Europe to its present name in April, OKX made its formal debut in the Netherlands.

In the Netherlands, OKX began as Okcoin Europe in 2021

Ghoos claims that Okcoin Europe began providing cryptocurrency services to users in the nation in 2021 after registering as a service provider with De Nederlandsche Bank, the Dutch national bank. Additionally, OKX is licensed to provide virtual financial asset services in Malta.

Residents of the Netherlands who wish to register for OKX are asked to go to the OKX website, download the OKX app from Google Play or the App Store, and finish the verification process.

In honor of the debut, OKX has provided a new user bonus of up to 50 euros ($54) for any and all clients who sign up before July 3.

OKX has recently moved on from several jurisdictions while growing across Europe. Along with a few other exchanges, such as Huobi and Gate.io, OKX formally announced the withdrawal of its application for a license under the Hong Kong Virtual Asset Licensing Regime on May 24.
