In the recent 13F filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), over 600 firms have disclosed substantial investments in the spot Bitcoin ETF.

The chief investment officer of cryptocurrency asset management firm Bitwise predicts that by the May 15 deadline, close to 700 professional companies will have collectively invested $5 billion in the spot Bitcoin ETF. As of May 9, filing data revealed that 563 professional investment firms reported owning Bitcoin ETFs valued at $3.5 billion.

Notable investors include Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, UBS, BNP Paribas, Royal Bank of Canada, as well as hedge funds like Millennium Management and Schonfeld Strategic Advisors.

Millennium Management stands out as the largest BTC ETF investor, with a $1.9 billion investment spread across various ETFs. Schonfeld Strategic Advisors follows as the second-largest investor, with a $479 million investment.

Other significant investors include Boothbay Fund Management, Pine Ridge Advisers, Morgan Stanley, Aristeia Capital LLC, Graham Capital Management, CRCM L.P, and Fortress Investment Group LLC.

Despite a recent slowdown in inflows, the spot Bitcoin ETF, launched in January, experienced high demand in its initial months. Nevertheless, hundreds of financial institutions have disclosed substantial investments in the spot BTC ETF.
